Dear friends,

This Sunday we are discussing the question: is the media too powerful?

Having just been through a media marathon with the US presidential elections we are still fresh to discuss this question. However, having asked the question we now have to ask ourselves whether this question reflects the whole of reality. The rest of reality must surely be the question: are we too gullible? Which leads us to a nice little conundrum: is the media powerful because we are gullible or are we gullible because the media is powerful? This might very well end with; tails they win, heads we lose.
